i've moved! to www.shao.speechlez.com so continue to visit me there! this shall be my last post, n yes it's still about the world cup but from 2 singaporean women's point of view..

scene: hong lim food centre, the day after france beat port(ugal)y to advance
incident: i was enjoying my super fantastic fish soup rice, with 2 other rather bimbotic women (old nonetheless) opposite me. by the looks of it, they were great porty supporters (probably coz of the cute actor - c.Ronaldo)

bimbo 1: (to bimbo 2, of coz.. to me mehz?) eh portugal shouldn't get out lehs! the refs all kelong de, siding with france.. everytime porugal player fall down also don't want to award free kick!
bimbo 2: ya lor... tsk tsk fifa ah, super kelong..
me: (thinking out loud)hello, see the last 2 games porty play not? against holland, they resort to violence. against england, they do it with play acting. i'm sure fifa has enough sense to ask the refs not to be bluffed by porties anymore right??

bimbo 1 continues to rattle on about all those little facts about the world cup, like she knows everything.. but those little facts sounded familiar.. weren't those that i read from the straits times in the morning? like how ribery got that big scar across his face etc..

bimbo 1: did you know portugal never lost a match till last night?
bimbo 2: yar!!
me: (bursting out loud.. i wished i did!) hellooooooo! none of those 4 teams lost a single match until they met one another! did germany the great lose? did wonderous italia defence let in another goal after that own goal by a substitute? france, boring as they were, never lost too though they did managed 2 draws.. so WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT YOUR BEST PORTUGESE ACTORS NOT LOSING A SINGLE MATCH TILL LAST NIGHT?!

i wished i had more peace during my lunch.
